The Winner | TrafficBox

TrafficBox – small device which helps you to find out how many people are waiting in the queue to your favourite grocery shop. Our solution is based on analysing packets being sent by wireless devices, our devices.  We don’t need any extra apps installed on smartphones – but adding this feature to proteGO would be even more fascinating! Our goal is to inform others if it’s safe in public places during COVID-19 pandemic – but in the future we can help to unload crowds. More can be found on www.issd.pl

Project description:

Imagine if You can select the direction to the shop based on current queues or to check if everyone has evacuated from the building during fire alarm – and all this information is available within the range of your smartphone. Our solution is based on analyzing packets being sent by wireless devices, our devices. But don’t worry! We are not sending any MAC addresses to our cloud. Everything is counted on very tiny ESP8266 which is the heart of our solution.

We don’t need any extra apps installed on smartphones – but adding this feature to proteGO would be even more fascinating!

Our goal is to inform others if it’s safe in public places during COVID-19 pandemic – but in the future, we can help to unload crowds.

After the hackathon, we want to make this project to be opensource and available for all people all over the world.
